Hello all, back again with some more posting goodness. Let's get down to some news shall we?
Atletico Madrid look set to buy Jose Antonio Reyes. No word yet on the transfer fee but Wenger seemed to confirm it as well as Reyes himself. He had this to say:
"I am delighted to be staying in Madrid. It is certain I will be staying in the capital, although we'll have to wait a little to see where I will be playing," Reyes told Spanish television station La Sexta.
"It has been difficult working by myself and not being able to share a pre-season with my colleagues. For this reason, I am pleased everything is about to be resolved."This isn't confirmed or anything, but...I have heard that Sergio Aguero could be on his way to Arsenal in a part exchange...
Bakari Sagna is enjoying his time so far at Arsenal. He has said he's adjusting well and it really helps that other players in defense (Gallas and Clichy) speak French.
"I have integrated well," Sagna said in L'Equipe. "On the pitch I am not completely free yet, I have work to do.
"The fact that there are several French-speaking players in defence will help me."Good to hear that Sagna is enjoying his time, because he will probably fit right into the first eleven.
Several sources are saying that Arsenal are going to move for Lassana Diara. He is currently playing for Chelsea, and by playing I mean sitting in the stands because he never gets a game there. He's a big center midfielder that could maybe work well with Cesc, although I hope if we do sign him that he doesn't affect Denilson or Diaby's development.
Tomas Rosicky says he's confident about the upcoming season. He mentioned Henry's departure of course but says that the Gunners are capable of big things in the coming year. This is the latest in the long list of players saying we are capable of big things this season. It gets me pretty excited to see them feeling confident and hopefully that will spread to the rest of the squad.
That's about it for the day. Reyes gone, maybe Aguero/Diarra coming in? Let's see what happens...
