Well it's been reported all summer that while Arsenal was ok with selling Freddie Ljungberg or releasing him on a free transfer, Freddie himself has said he is determined to stay with the Gunners and complete his tenth season in London. It appears that now that might be changing. Freddie's agent Claes Elefalk has said that talks between Arsenal and Fiorentina are going on right now. Arsene has reportedly asked about getting striker Valeri Bojinov in the deal as well, although Arsenal would have to add cash to get the 21 year old. Another striker at a discount price seems like a good deal to me personally. Freddie has been a great player for Arsenal for his entire career here, but he really is just not getting the job done anymore. He rarely scores (2 goals in the last 2 seasons) and he is constantly injured. He used to be a 10+ goals per season type of winger, and along with Pires, that accounted for most of the midfield scoring we are sorely lacking now. I wouldn't mind seeing Freddie go if we can get in Bojinov for him. He spent last season on loan at Juve and I don't know much about him but he is young and Arsene has a gift for working with youngsters. Tell me what you think.
Bakari Sagna completed his transfer to Arsenal today. They have agreed to terms and he was reportedly in London yesterday completing his medical. He will wear the number 3 shirt vacated by Ashley Cole. He's a good player and has just broken into the National Team for France, but I just wonder if it's too many players at one position. As I wrote yesterday, I am not for putting Eboue at the wing, I think he is shite at defending and would be even more shite on the wing. But nonetheless, Sagna is on his way. Funny looking bloke really, here's a picture of him putting on the new kit here.
That's about it for the day today. It's 2.99 Tuesdays at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Delicious. Oh and one more thing, if you want to subscribe to the site so you can get any updates as soon as they are posted, click on the link in the side bar. Thanks.

id be really sad to see freddie go, i really wanna see him get his testemonial, altho maybe it is time to let him go, he hasn't been at his best and him leaving would leave more chances for younger players like walcott.
sagna looks like a good player, its good to see were bulking up the squad. hopefully the competition in defence will fire the players up to play better to make sure they get to play each week.
