Arsenal vs Burgenland Lineups

Morning all. Today's friendly against Burgenland starts in about 20 minutes and I've just gotten the starting lineups. Not many changes from the last match really, but Theo drops to the bench. Still no sign of Nasri, RvP, Ade, and the rest.

Almunia
Sagna-Hoyte-Hoyte-Clichy
Wilshere-Ramsey-Denilson-Traore
Vela
Bendtner

So another look at Wilshere, Ramsey, and Vela which should be good. I'm not too thrilled about Hoyte & Hoyte starting in central defense but hopefully they have a better game than they did last match. I'll get a match report up after the match but I just wanted to get the lineup out there. Up the Arsenal! Cheers.

Update: Aaron Ramsey has scored his first Arsenal goal! 48 seconds in he scored on a nice lob that barely crept into the net.

Update 2: 2-0 to Arsenal through Bendtner in the 15th minute. He hasn't looked good before that moment but he took the goal quite well.

Update 3: 3-0 to Arsenal after another goal from Bendtner. Assist from Jack Wilshere who has looked outstanding. He really is incredible. But great finish from Bendtner.

Update 4: 4-0 to the Arsenal! Carlos Vellllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaa. Great goal from him. Still only the 26th minute.

Update 5: Hattrick for Bendtner makes it 5-0. Good calm finish into the corner.

Update 6: 6-0 to Arsenal with another one from Vela. It's getting really embarrassing for Burgenland.

Update 7: 7-0. Another one from Bendtner. Can't believe I picked today to do goal by goal updates. I'm having to update every 3 minutes.

Halftime: 7-0 remains the scoreline at the half. The first goal has been taken away from Ramsey apparently and given to Jack Wilshere, and looking back that's how it should be. Henri Lansbury has come on already for Armand Traore, who I thought played very well. Expect Theo and Vito Mannone to come on in the 2nd half and maybe a couple of others as well.

I don't care for some of the challenges this Burglanland team is putting in, so I say we keep pouring in the goals. That last tackle from behind on Vela could have hurt him.

Yeah a couple of the tackles have been a little rough but I don't think they have been bad intentions, I just think they're slower/clumsier so it's quite tough for them to time their challenges right. But yes might want to keep putting in the goals. Hope Little Jack gets one!

I am watching the match live online, I think Vela has been doing wonderfully well this afternoon

dean i agree. I think he has done well with each chance he has gotten and his run and goal were top class.

Guys whom do you think Wenger should buy as our dm?

Guys is halftime here and what do we expect in the next 45 minutes

I wouldn't mind it being Diaby honestly dean. People have said they want Veloso but he's just as young as Diaby so I don't think he gives us more experience, especially since Diaby has played in the Premiership for years now.

I'm not sold on Gareth Barry, and I would have quite liked Xabi Alonso.

I'd rather buy a new center back than a DM honestly, because I think Diaby can be molded into that job.

Next half I'd expect Theo to come on for Wilshere or Bendtner. Mannone should come on for Almunia and maybe a couple other changes. I wouldn't expect a drop in scoring though.

Hey guys.Who gna be our captain?

ArseNole said...

anon- do you mean in this match or next season?

This match it's Clichy and next season I think it will still be Gallas honestly

wat are the half time substitutions?

ArseNnamdi said...

You arsnole, Xabi would be a good idea, but I don't know if Wenger would be going after him,we really need a cd to bolster our defensive live expecially on the set picess. Let me have you guys views concerning Gallas comment

Pierre- Walcott, Simpson, Randall, Mannone are all on. Bendtner, Denilson, Almunia, and Clichy (I think) off

ArseNole said...

dean I think Gallas will be keeping the captaincy even though I'm not totally for it. I think it is good though that he says he needs to change some things about the way he leads. That sounds very positive.
